Every year, the NetFlorist bunch spends a lot of time mentally and physically preparing for Valentine’s Day. The special occasion is one of our busiest occasions (next to Mother’s Day, of course). Permanent staff work overtime to ensure that the day is a success for all. Temporary staff are also employed to help make some sense of the Valentine’s Day mayhem! Here are just 10 unexpected things you will see- if you had to walk into our warehouses- at NetFlorist over the Valentine’s Day period:
Stacks of pizza boxes
From pepperoni to mushrooms, peppers and onions, to a good old Margherita; our paper recycling bins are filled with empty cardboard pizza boxes!
Sneakers
Stripes, laces, thicker platforms and spongy soles keep NetFlorist employees on their toes.
Yellow highlighters
Delivery sheets are painted yellow as they are covered in highlighter markings. Also, instead of the usual Bic pen in your pocket, NetFlorist employees sport yellow fingers and yellow highlighters instead.
Portable showers
With the number of late shifts, warehouse runs, sweaty foreheads and tired eyes, NetFlorist has set up 20 portable showers for employees to make use of.
Beds
Yes, you read right. NetFlorist has beds for employees to take precious and crucial naps in-between their shifts.

Hydration is key during Valentine’s Day.
Coat racks with winter jackets
With thousands of extra rose stems, delicious choccies, plants, and not to mention an addition of dozens of temporary employees, NetFlorist has to boost up the cooling system in the warehouse. The result is a winter wonderland!
COFFEE truck
Everybody needs some good juju! Caffeinated motivation is available throughout the course of the day.
