Each individual has the power to change the world, and that is exactly what NetFlorist did for Mandela Day!
The campaign message for Mandela Day reads:
“Nelson Mandela has fought for social justice for 67 years. We’re asking you to start with 67 minutes.”
At NetFlorist, we were inspired by Girl with Cake and each employee baked and decorated 67 cakes and delivered them around Joburg to different charities, those people who have changed the lives of others or folks who just needed a happy gesture on Mandela Day
With it being our turn to give back to the community, we got our hands dirty and we designed and iced cakes inspired by Madiba! Along with Girl with Cake, Brett Lindeque and a whole bunch of awesome NetFlorist employees, we took to the streets of Jozi and delivered #67Cakes to those who brighten day-to-day life!

This Mandela Day was truly amazing, not only did it bring all of us at NetFlorist closer together but it was a chance for us to spread some joy and love to a few folks around Joburg. Mandela Day was a reminder that giving back is not something that should be restricted to only one day a year but is something we can each do everyday, whether it’s letting someone take the parking spot ahead of you, or helping someone carry their groceries, it’s the little random acts of kindness that count.
On that note we hope you had an amazing Mandela Day because we sure did!
